เกือบ 200 ปีที่ชาวไทยเชื้อสายลาวเวียง (เวียงจันทร์) อพยพมาอยู่ที่กิ่งอำเภอเนินขาม และกลุ่ม ชาวไทยเชื้อสายลาวคั่งอยู่ที่กิ่งอำเภอหนองมะโมง ทั้งสองกลุ่มอนุรักษ์ภูมิปัญญาการทอผ้ามาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ผ้าที่ทอเป็นผ้าฝ้ายหมี่โลดและผ้าไหมหมี่โลด (ลายหมี่สำเภา) ซึ่งเป็นฝีมือของชาวไทคั่ง ลวดลายโบราณ ทอประณีต ย้อมสีธรรมชาติ มีเทคนิคการแต้มสีหลังการย้อม เพิ่มลวดลายให้สวยงาม และทอผ้าซิ่นต่าง ๆ เช่น ซิ่นดำดาน ซิ่นดอก ซิ่นสิบซิ้ว ซิ่นหมี่ตา ซิ่นหมี่ลวดและซิ่นหมี่โลด

Chai Nat

For nearly 200 years, people of the Laoweang (Weangchan) ethnic group have been living in the Nern Kham Sub-district, with those of the ethnic Lao-Kang settled in Nong Ma Mong Sub-district. These people preserved their traditional Thai weaving techniques, and produce Mee-Load cotton (Mee-Sam-Pao pattern) and Mee-Load silk (Mee-Sam-Pao pattern) a special technique from the Thai-Kang people. This is an ancient and delicate pattern using a natural dyeing technique. The weaver adds more colors and markings after dyeing to make the cloth even more elaborate. Other cloth produced includes: Sin Damdan, Sin Dok, Sin Sib Sew, Sin Mee-ta, Sin Mee-Laud and Sin Mee-load in the Mee-Kor-Noi pattern.
